Course Description
Hydrotherapy has been used for centuries as a God-given resource to sustain life, restore balance, and support the body’s natural healing processes. This course explores the scientific and spiritual value of water as a healing modality, integrating Christian principles of stewardship and holistic health. Students will examine the role of water in maintaining internal balance and learn how proper hydration and pH regulation support the body’s systems, immunity, and circulation.
In addition to internal benefits, students will gain understanding of external hydrotherapy applications that promote detoxification, improve circulation, and encourage homeostasis. Through practical demonstrations and guided instruction, learners will study temperature-based therapies, therapeutic bathing techniques, and the measurable effects of hydrotherapy on physiological function and well-being.
Students will learn:
- Principles of water pH and its role in supporting healthy blood chemistry
- How hydration influences circulation, immunity, and energy balance
- The physiological effects of hot and cold water therapy
- Practical application of fomentations, contrast baths, and friction rubs
- How to create safe, effective hydrotherapy treatments at home
By the end of this course, students will understand how to apply hydrotherapy as a natural, faith-aligned tool for wellness—supporting the body, honoring God’s design, and promoting restorative health from the inside out.
