Course Description
This course is the study of how the body communicates imbalance and distress through symptoms. This course emphasizes the interconnected nature of body systems and organs, teaching students to view symptoms not as isolated problems, but as meaningful signals pointing to underlying causes. Grounded in a whole-person, creation-honouring approach to health, students will learn how lifestyle, nutrition, environment, and spiritual well-being influence the body’s ability to maintain balance and wellness.
Building on foundational coursework, students will develop analytical skills to assess patterns of symptoms and identify contributing factors that disrupt the body’s natural order. Through guided case studies and practical application, learners will explore how to remove unhealthful influences and establish conditions that support healing, restoration, and optimal function.
Students will learn:
- Understand the relationship between symptoms, body systems, and overall health
- Identify root causes of common and complex health conditions
- Assess lifestyle, dietary, environmental, and emotional factors contributing to symptoms
- Recognize patterns that indicate systemic imbalance rather than isolated dysfunction
- Apply a terrain-based approach to restoring balance and promoting wellness
- Analyze case studies and make informed, holistic health recommendations
By the end of this course, students will be equipped to interpret symptoms with discernment and clarity, supporting individuals in addressing the causes of imbalance rather than merely managing outcomes.
