Registration Requirements

Durham School of Health and Nutrition (DSHN) seeks to admit students who are prepared to succeed academically and who are aligned with the school’s commitment to professionalism, responsibility, and lifelong learning. The following registration requirements outline the minimum educational qualifications for admission, options for mature students, criteria for advanced standing, and key policies related to withdrawal and communication. Applicants are encouraged to review this information carefully to ensure they meet eligibility requirements and understand their responsibilities prior to enrollment.

The minimum admissions requirement is one of the following:

1. Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
2. General Educational Development (GED)
3. Mature Student Status (MSS)

Advanced Standing:

Applicants applying for advanced standing must meet the following criteria:

• Credit transfer from an accredited post-secondary institution with a minimum final average of 80 percent in the identified course(s).
• Official transcript must be submitted before commencement of the program.
• Students must enroll in a minimum of 75 percent of the program offered at DSHN to qualify for a diploma issued by the same.
• Exemptions must be approved by program director.
• A statement of advanced standing will be issued to inform you if transfer credits are granted.
• A processing fee of $60 plus taxes is applicable.
